Your impact
You will play a key role in building and scaling our solution, supporting our ability to provide personalized insights to patients and their healthcare team, and to enable scientists to deliver timely, quality controlled actionable reports. Our aim is to make a real difference to people’s lives at scale
How we work
We work with clinicians, molecular scientists, NLP, AI, and data engineers to harmonize patient specific
data, map it to literature based and real-world scientific evidence. Our software helps create personalized
insights tailored to individual medical records to provide Clinical Decision Support. We empower and enable
patients to be actively involved in decision making through our web application and APIs.
We have early and frequent releases, encouraging a tight feedback loop between developers, our testers,
and our users.
We strive for high test coverage to enable us to move quickly and refactor without fear.

What you will do
You will play a key role in providing actionable insights to feed our new AI-Assisted Evidence web application and APIs
Automatically extract knowledge from the scientific literature and real-world data to generate actionable, evidence-based biomedical insights
Identify opportunities to apply the latest advancements in NLP and Machine Learning to build, test, and validate models in named entity recognition, relation extraction.
Your skills and Experience

We are looking for you who have hands on experience with:
Natural Language Processing (NLP), text-mining and machine learning design patterns.
Applying NLP to the biomedical domain, including familiarity with biomedical terminology and ontologies (UMLS, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT)
We also value the following skills
Rule-based and case-based reasoning
Fundamental software engineering principles
Elasticsearch, Neo4J, Python, Java skills and experience
Previous experience working in an Agile environment
Comfort working in Linux server environments
Bonus points for:
Experience with distributed computation and/or federated learning
Refered publications in NLP, ML, and/or bioinformatics venues in one or more areas related to information extraction or precision medicine
Experience building Data-as-a-Service solutions
Experience working within healthcare regulatory constraints
ISO 27001 (Information Security), ISO 14971:2019 (Risk Management), Software Life-cycle (IEC 62304)
Knowledge of eHealth open standards such as FHIR, openEHR, International Patient Summary (IPS), FAIR Principles
Familiar with Evidence Based Medicine, Real-World Research, Clinical Decision Support and Shared
Decision-making Best Practices
Familiar with the ethical and regulatory challenges of AI systems in Healthcare, Trustworthiness
