Chief Product Officer
With the PubGene company since 2019, Amelie drives the conception and realization of a ground-breaking CE-marked digital health solution for personalized medicine. She designed this interoperable solution that taps into the power of Explainable AI, with the aim of facilitating healthcare team-patient-researcher collaboration to improve real-world outcomes and contain healthcare costs.
Today, she proudly co-founds Vitae Evidence as a spinoff of the PubGene company, an important milestone aiming at profitable scaling. She established Vitae Evidence's vision and stays on the pulse of all stakeholders' needs, prioritizing what to build next. She empowers the Engineering and Product teams to timely deliver, and prepares the organization for ISO 13485 and MDR certification.
Previously, she worked at a leading international eHealth concern, CompuGroup Medical (CGM), where her collaboration with CGM multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers and the Norwegian Directorate of eHealth served the digitization of healthcare services and the consolidation a modern Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform for multiple healthcare segments.
Amelie's background in software engineering, product management, business development, and regulatory affairs, gives her a broad understanding of healthcare technology’s opportunities and challenges for their integration in the national and regional infrastructure, promoting value-based healthcare, innovative financing model and new patient pathways.
She holds a MSc degree in Bioinformatics from Cranfield University, England, and a MEng in Health Information Technology (HIT) from Polytech Grenoble, France, from a double-degree program completed in 2006.
Chief Scientific Officer
Jimita joined the PubGene company in summer 2019 to work in the Coremine Vitae’s Case Analysis team where she analyses patient cases, identifies treatment options and conducts research. As both a Pharmacist and PhD in Medicine, her background is a perfect complement to the team.
Jimita pioneers a novel profession of hybrid scientists trained in digital technologies and molecular data analysis, members of multidisciplinary teams that make shared clinical decisions. She is admired for her business innovation mindset and is an accomplished public speaker.
Today, she joins Vitae Evidence as a spinoff of the PubGene company. Being one of the few hybrid scientists that can interpret molecular data and inspire software engineers, she articulates to the team the requirements of Analysts preparing personalised medicine reports. Her well-argued decisiveness helps the team move forward, and she maintains her credibility by staying hands-on. In her daily activities, while working on real-world cases, she teaches AI by specifying the scientific rules of the software and controlling the evidence of extracted biomedical insights. She educates her fellow scientists to tap into the power of Vitae Evidence software.
From a very young age, Jimita has intentionally travelled to places where she has experienced multi-cultural work environments. She worked at research institutions in Egypt, the Netherlands, Sweden and Spain. Her master thesis described how to identify novel therapeutic combinations for breast cancer, whereas her PhD thesis focused on identification of biomarkers in metastatic breast cancer. Jimita's fame rose across entire Norway when she performed on the finale of the Forsker Grand Prix 2016.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy in 2011, pursued a master’s in Biopharmaceutical Sciences and specialised in toxicology from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and in 2018, she was awarded PhD in Medicine from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Chief Quality Officer
Dag Are has been the cornerstone between software engineers, integration partners, and the scientific community that enabled PubGene AS to develop the exciting biomedical search and research tools Coremine Medical and Coremine Oncology. He represented the firm at BigMed, the Norwegian lighthouse project for Precision Medicine implementation. Over the past years, he assisted Coremine Vitae analysts with biomedical research and the definition and quality verification of Standard Operating Procedures for personalised biomedical report manufacturing.
Dag Are is one of the first people that helped the Vitae Evidence Software platform being born. He immediately recognised the potential of this regulatory compliant and generic software platform specialising in evidence-based medicine for shared clinical decision. Since then, he consistently and thoroughly followed the development process, enabling breakthroughs in quality and functionality improvements.
Today, Dag Are joins Vitae Evidence, a spinoff of the PubGene company, as Chief Quality Officer. Having an analytical mind with an eye for details, he will ensure that Vitae Evidence meets the highest regulatory standards of the Healthcare industry. His excellent interpersonal skills will help us build a team that solves problem collaboratively, and develop a culture that promotes quality, patient safety and transparency while adhering to regulations. He will continue to define and oversee the application of protocols for continuous performance improvement of biomedical text-mining algorithms.

Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer
Frida has been working with PubGene AS for a year. She combined the role of Coremine Vitae Case Manager and Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. She has supported the early development of Vitae Evidence since her first day in meeting with the solution. She organized and moderated Usability Engineering tests and Market Research with patients, researchers and clinicians, provided guidance to UX designers, collected and analysed Post-Market data, and established relationships with patient associations, eHealth vendors, healthcare organizations and recruitment streams.
Frida knows first-hand how it is to live with cancer. This has stirred up a genuine passion to deliver a valuable precision medicine solution and help others in similar situations.
Today, Frida joins Vitae Evidence, which we establish as a spinoff of the PubGene company. She will continue to develop strong strategic partnerships focused on the SaaS solution, including the obtention of co-creation contracts with innovative healthcare institutions. As we plan to expand our targets to second tier hospitals across Europe, Frida leads strategic marketing and is building a network of global partners and engaging with our key stakeholders throughout Europe and further abroad to develop continuous feedback loops and ensure we build a product which is in-line with the desired outcomes and needs of our customers and end users
Frida has a successful background as business Aanalyst, business development manager and consultant at Telenor Digital, Telenor Norway and KPMG.
Lead Engineer
Julien is a self-starter that enjoys clean and performant code. He designed and implemented Vitae Evidence's Biomedical and Clinical Entity Annotators Chain Framework, thus giving intelligence to the Medical Device Software platform. Julien also set up the development and operations (DevOps) of Vitae Evidence from the ground, enabling our software team to take advantage of continuous testing, deployment automation, and event monitoring.
Today, Julien joins Vitae Evidence, which we establish as a spinoff of the PubGene company. He will continue developing, improving and expanding the Big Data integrations and NLP algorithms, to provide reliable insights and feed our new AI-Assisted Evidence web application and APIs.
Julien has been a software engineer at PubGene since 2008; he is a fullstack developer, programming efficient backend services, text-mining algorithms, and user interfaces. Before moving to Norway, Julien developed embedded software for a computer vision innovation center in Belgium. Julien holds a master's degree in Audiovisual Systems Engineering and a master's degree in Communications and Signal Processing from the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis.
Chief Medical & Excecutive Officer
Mark was recently appointed Medical Director at PubGene AS, where he oversees the medical review process of the Coremine Vitae biomedical intelligence reports, ensuring they are accurate and in line with clinicians' expectations. He also advises on the UK market access strategy and assists with relationship and business development with UK partners and targeted KOLs
Today, Mark joins Vitae Evidence, a spinoff of the PubGene company, as Chief Medical & Executive Officer. As a clinician advocate, he will lead the clinical development and reimbursement strategy of the Medical Device Software, and bring the solution to the healthcare market.
Graduating as a medical doctor in 2000, Mark worked in the NHS for 18 months, before joining the British Forces. He worked as a Regimental Officer serving in infantry units and left as a Major after travelling to multiple countries around the world as a GP. He returned to the NHS in 2007 and from 2008 he successfully ran his own practice with two other partners for 13 years. From 2011 to 2021 he was also a Medical Director helping to run an Out of Hours GP service in Hampshire, England which covered 350,000 patients. Mark relocated to Norway in 2021 with his Norwegian wife, also a GP, and their two children. In addition to having an obvious passion for health, he loves the outdoor life, his sport, and also cares deeply about the environment assisting with a national UK initiative to innovate personal protective equipment (PPE) to be more sustainable and reusable.
Product Designer
Lars Selberg Sigurdson is Vitae Evidence's newly hired product designer. Lars has a background in UX/UI design, graphic design and project management. He is deeply interested in the tech and creative industry, both digital and analog, and he is always looking for new things to learn and master.
The possibility of working on something meaningful and constructive, as well as being part of something that improves lives, was what motivated him to join Vitae Evidence.
In his role as a product designer, he is dedicated to solving problems in an intelligent, efficient, and elegant manner. Effective communication is what pleases him the most and motivates him in the work he does. Frontend Developer and Cybersecurity
Arnaf is an experienced React Developer from Bangladesh that came to Norway to complete a Master degree in Computer Science in USN (Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge), specialising in Cybersecurity. Arnaf's Thesis is on the topic of Blockchain for EMR software.
Hear it from him: "I am a passionate Software Engineer with strong front-end development skills who doesn't hesitate to jump into new technologies. I have a good understanding of how the web works. I have five years of experience and am committed to writing reusable code to build scalable web applications maintaining the best web practices of user experience. I possess a sound understanding of front-end web technologies. Always try to build responsive web applications with a mobile-first mindset. I love clean code and standard architecture. Attentive to details and willing to innovate and mostly a total team player.
I was looking for a full-time position as a front-end engineer where I have the availability to learn new technologies to grow myself professionally that make a difference and amplify my impact on the organization. Then I came to know about Vitae Evidence. The main goal of Vitae Evidence is to make creative and AI-powered digital health solutions which I think is a steppingstone toward the greater benefit of mankind. This drives me most to apply for this position. I have some prior experience working on life science-based projects and I have the desire to work more in this field where medical and tech meet together. Lastly, I believe working with multidisciplinary people from different backgrounds will help me to learn and explore new things. This all sums up why Vitae Evidence is important to me."
Front-end development work is seen by everyone who interacts with our product, and users won’t adopt a great backend if the frontend is poorly implemented. As such, Arnaf's role is fundamental to our brand and to the product success, and we are excited to have him onboard.
Fullstack Developer
Sundar in an experienced Java developer from India, that came to Norway to complete a Master degree in Applied Computer Science at Østfold University. Professional experience: 4 years, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Sundar has education and professional experience in Vitae Evidence's entire stack, from interaction design, to java microservice development and machine learning.

After my master's, I set out to explore challenging opportunities in software development and I was fortunate to interview with Vitae Evidence for the full-stack software developer role. Senior Scientific Advisor
Håvard helped establish Vitae Evidence as a spinoff of the PubGene company, thus empowering the team to fully focus on developing the medical device software that generates personalised medicine evidence safer, faster and with complete control. Håvard is member of Vitae Evidence's Board of Directors.
Håvard has directed activities at PubGene AS since 2004 and has previous corporate experience as managing director of Biomolex AS. Håvard is also an accomplished scientist. He holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Oslo, where he has been working on several protein structure related projects since 1996. He got his PhD in 1999 on the work "Amphiphilical a-helices in membrane permeabilizing bacteriocins of Lactic Acid Bacteria". Dr. Hauge continued this work in a postdoctoral position including one year at EMBL, Heidelberg. His scientific efforts have resulted in several publications in international journals.
Chair of the Board
Eirik is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience starting and building companies, with multiple successful exits, such as AirThings.
Eirik holds an MSc degree in Physics and an MBA degree in Finance. Since 1992, he has been working with establishing, building up, and performed research and development within electronics, ICT and biotechnology companies in Europe and USA. He has been the winner of the Oslo Innovation Award as the first and so far, only private person receiving this award. He is the Chairman of the User-driven Research based Innovation funding program at the Norwegian Research Council, and has been a Member of the Advisory Board to the Government for Health Care in Norway (Health&Care21), Member of Board of the Life Science strategic effort at the University of Oslo, Chairman of the board of the Norway Health Tech, Chairman of the Board of PROFF, the branch organization for the Norwegian software industry, and Vice-Chairman of the branch organization in the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industry for the information technology industry in Norway.
Board Member
Odd Arild Lehne works primarily with realizing potentials, restructuring of Health Technology related projects and businesses. He has extensive experience in innovation and strategy development in technology companies. He is currently responsible for developing and executing the international strategy for Norway Health Tech and its members. He is also project manager for the Control Tower project at the Acute Clinic in Oslo University Hospital.
Odd Arild Lehne's extensive experience in innovation, strategy development, and international project management, coupled with his background in computer science, brings invaluable insights and leadership to the board of vitae evidence. His contributions are instrumental in guiding the AI-assisted CDSS for personalized medicine software toward greater impact and success.
Odd Arild holds a MSc degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. He was co-founder of Taskon in 1987 and joined the team starting the consultant company daVinci in 1998. Odd Arild Lehne has more than 25 years of experience international project and business development.
